NCC Foundation Plans for 23rd Annual Scholarship Golf Classic

Area golfers have provided 22 years of support for the Nash Community College Foundation and its scholarship program by participating in the NCC Foundation Student Scholarship Golf Classic. Golfers will tee off October 4th at 12pm at Birchwood Country Club in Nashville for a day of challenging fun, while providing scholarships for deserving college students.  All proceeds from the golf classic will be used to provide student scholarships and support the needs of Nash Community College.

Prizes will be awarded to each flight’s first and second-place teams. Flights will be based on the total team handicap. This year’s grand tournament sponsors are Autumn Care of Nash, Calvin Davenport, Inc., Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant, MBM, McLane, Nash Health Care Systems, North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives, Oakley-Collier Architects, Sandy Cross Consultant Service, Inc. and Wells Fargo. Hospitality and event contributors are Speight’s Trophy Shop, Carolina Eagle Budweiser Inc., Davenport Autopark, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, The Cheesecake Factory Bakery, Poppies International, Canteen Vending Services, Birchwood Country Club, Chick-fil-A of Cobb Corners, SunDrop Bottling Company of Rocky Mount and Verizon Wireless.

Golfers participating in the 23rd Annual Nash Community College Foundation Student Scholarship Golf Classic will have a chance to win a 2012 Buick Verano as a hole-in-one prize from Davenport Autopark. Proceeds from this event will be used to provide student scholarships.

Davenport Autopark is sponsoring the hole-in-one prize: a 2012 Buick Verano. Additional prizes will be awarded for closest-to-the-pin and the longest drives. Raffles and door prize drawings will give golfers an opportunity to win many other items donated by area businesses and individuals.
