Putting Knowledge to Work

Nash Community College Transfer student Melissa Herbert put her knowledge to work by applying lessons learned in the Architectural Technology classroom in the field. Herbert is the designer of the College’s new, on-campus nine-hole disc golf course. Under the direction of Instructor Doug Broad, Herbert created a course that is used by students in PED219 Disc Golf class where they learn basic techniques to play the game. The disc golf course is open to the community when class is not in session.
