NCC Medical Assistants Graduate

Nash Community College is proud to announce eleven new graduates of its accredited Medical Assisting program. The program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), prepares health care professionals to perform administrative, clinical and laboratory procedures. The Medical Assisting curriculum includes anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, medical law and ethics, psychology, communication, medical assisting administrative procedures and medical assisting clinical procedures.

“Medical facilities in our area encourage certification for employment as a Medical Assistant, and being accredited allows our graduates to take the national certification exam. This significantly impacts graduates as they seek employment,” NCC Health Sciences Department Chair Dr. Tammie Clark said. “Employers can be confident that students emerge with the entry-level knowledge and skills necessary for today’s complex medical care.”
