2015 NCC Outstanding Alumna Robyn Raynor Perkerson

In an award ceremony on April 22nd, Nash Community College (NCC) will honor Robyn Raynor Perkerson of Spring Hope with the 2015 Nash Community College Outstanding Alumna Award recognizing her achievements as a past graduate to provide inspiration for current students. She was selected for the College’s highest alumni honor for her excellence in leadership and service, and dedication to lifelong learning.

Perkerson serves the community in her role as Chief Executive Officer at LifeCare Hospitals of North Carolina in Rocky Mount through her service with extensive experience leading clinical services in Nursing, Respiratory, Rehabilitation, Dietary, Pharmacy, Housekeeping, Infection Control, Education and Quality Management.

Perkerson completed the Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma in 1991 and the Associate Degree in Nursing in 1992 at Nash Community College, earned credentials as a Registered Nurse, in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as an Emergency Medical Technician and a Trauma Nursing Core Certification. She was the Nash Community College Nurses Pinning keynote speaker in 2005 and 2014 and served as Rocky Mount’s 2015 Go Red For Women event keynote speaker in support of the fight against heart disease in women.

“Her reputation as a healthcare leader is known locally and statewide. Her service has impacted many individuals. Robyn is a testament to the quality and various achievements of Nash Community College alumni,” NCC President Bill Carver said.

Robyn and her husband, Dennis, have two sons.
