Upcoming Free Seminars Courtesy of NCC’s Small Business Center

Located in Nash Community College’s new Continuing Education and Public Services Building, NCC’s Small Business Center has multiple seminars coming up in the month of September free of charge. On Tuesday, September 8 from 6pm – 9pm, learn about calculating and recording payroll taxes, sales tax, preparing financial statements, cash flow and more in the Bookkeeping & Taxes seminar. Thursday, September 10 at 6pm – 9pm, discover how to create two or more hours everyday for who or what you love with the Get Help & Get Stuff Done – Time Management, Outsourcing, Productivity Secrets to Grow a Business seminar. Using Dr. Barnsley’s HBDO formula, this seminar will provide strategic marketing, self-management and small business development information to help you “get off the hamster wheel.”

A seminar titled Grant Writing will be offered courtesy of the Small Business Center on Monday, September 14 from 6pm – 9pm. Designed for a beginning grant writer or seasoned fundraiser, the Grant Writing seminar will allow participants to examine all elements of a grant application and the process of developing proposals. Dynamite Marketing on Firecracker Budget will be held Tuesday, September 15 from 6pm – 9pm. This seminar covers tips for prospective and existing business owners pertaining to customer, competitor and overall market opportunities. Participants will learn the four components of the marketing mix, inexpensive and effective market research design.
