Student Nurses Provide Community Service

Nash Community College Student Nurses volunteered time to help the North Carolina Baptist  Men’s Dental Bus December 19 at North Carolina Wesleyan College. Students pictured from left, Allison Correa of Bunn, Elaine Harris of Rocky Mount, Marla Matthews of Spring Hope, and Chris Scott of Rocky Mount, assisted by recording patient medical history. The North Carolina Baptist Men provide a medical and dental bus ministry, which began in 1989 to help meet the needs of North Carolina Communities. The ministry provides care to patients in underserved populations including people without insurance, the financially challenged, minority, homeless, elderly, migrant and others.
