Registration Opens in April for NCC Summer Bridge Program

NCC-Summer-Bridge-Logo---FinalNash Community College has announced the 2016 Summer Bridge Program.  The NCC Summer Bridge Program gives incoming freshman the opportunity to make a successful transition to college.  The three-week program allows students to earn college credit for ACA 122 (College Success Course) as well as participate in an English seminar and a math seminar.  ACA 122 will prepare participants for college courses by teaching time management, note-taking, and test-taking strategies as well the other necessary skills needed to be successful in college.  The English seminar provides a refresher of the grammar and writing skills to make students ready for college level writing.  The math seminar also provides a refresher of the necessary math skills that students need to be successful in math courses at NCC.  Participating in the Summer Bridge Program will save students time and money.

The Summer Bridge Program will be held July 11-29, 2016 from 8:30 am -3:00 pm.  Students are required to take the College’s placement tests before the start date and will take the post tests on last day of the program. Each day the students will start their day with a guest speaker who will discuss various resources on campus as well as other core courses that students will take while at NCC.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular programs that are offered on campus. Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays students may choose to participate in a variety of exercise options on campus and Tuesdays and Thursdays will provide the opportunity to participate in other activities on campus.

Registration begins April 8th and is available online or by mail. Click here for more information.
