New Nursing Scholarship Established

Nash Community College Foundation Executive Director Pam Ballew (right) accepts a contribution from Bob Allsbrook, Secretary and Treasurer of Aunt Ruby’s Peanuts of Enfield. Mr. Allsbrook has established the Ruby Shearin Allsbrook (Aunt Ruby’s Peanuts) Memorial Nursing Scholarship as a tribute to his mother. This scholarship reflects Mr. Allsbrook’s desire to help deserving students pursue higher educational opportunities at Nash Community College.  Mrs. Allsbrook was a 1939 graduate of the Park View School of Nursing. She began her career at Park View Hospital. In 1945, she began work in the office of Dr. Sherrod Wood of Enfield, where she remained through her career.
