NCC Launches Redesigned Website

“More than ever before, the college’s site is accessed from mobile devices and tablets. The new website is responsive and effectively delivers content to users on demand, where they are. We have created a more user-centric experience across multiple platforms and devices,” NCC President Dr. Bill Carver said.
The college’s website redesign project began with a discovery phase in June 2016. A committee representing each academic and service area provided review and approval at various stages including the site outline, a working prototype, graphic presentation and beta site launch.
In addition to an entirely new layout and design, nashcc.edu’s new features include a more intuitive and logical navigation system, an improved site search function, enhanced availability of course and program requirements and information and a more advanced content management system.
“It is critical that we make website content decisions with our site visitors – prospective students, parents, community members, current students and other stakeholders – in mind. Just as we are always seeking to improve the on-campus experience, NCC replicates that same quality of service in its online presence,” NCC Dean of Marketing Kelley Deal said. “Using what we learned from analytics on the previous site, and applying website best practices, we worked with developers to design easy-to-use navigation that leads visitors to the content they need.”
NCC made available a staging site for key campus users to test the functionality and review content during a soft launch. The full site roll-out took place Wednesday, December 28, 2016. For more information, call 252-451-8235.
