\r\n\r\nFor 53 years, Nash Community College has provided an educational environment meeting students where they are and preparing them for a successful future. Even though campus operations look different\u00a0right now, NCC’s commitment to quality instruction and student-focused support services\u00a0continues.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe college is open, operating and\u00a0enrolling\u00a0students\u00a0in what is sure to be one\u00a0of the most determined and resilient classes\u00a0in Nighthawk\u00a0history.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFall semester classes begin\u00a0August 17<\/a>\u00a0in on-campus, online, virtual and in hybrid formats. Schedule changes may be made through August 20.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSelect programs have resumed on-campus classes with safety practices in place. These programs include Automotive Systems Technology, Computer-Engineering Technology, Computer-Integrated Machining, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice Technology, Culinary Arts, Electrical Systems Technology, Electronics Engineering Technologies, Emergency Medical Sciences, Industrial Systems Technologies, Welding Technologies, and other programs.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOnline courses provide another option that is ideal for students who wish to work remotely, at their own pace, without set meeting times. The\u00a0flexible online format may be a great option for parents who are assisting young students with online learning,\u00a0university students who do not feel comfortable returning to campus but want to earn\u00a0transferable course credit,\u00a0or individuals\u00a0balancing\u00a0work, school and other\u00a0commitments.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nVirtual courses mirror face-to-face instruction by connecting students with instructors online, in real-time, providing the closest experience to actually being on campus. Students who enroll in virtual courses can expect to have interaction with instructors and students, collaboration with other students in a virtual space, real-time group discussion and an enhanced sense of community with classmates and instructors.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nHybrid courses are delivered in a combination of on-campus, online and\/or virtual meetings.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nVirtual and online classes require access to a computer with reliable internet access. On-campus computer labs are open with social distancing and safety practices in place.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nTeam Nash is working diligently to provide a productive academic experience despite the current challenges.
