Nash Community College recently held an orientation and leadership session to welcome its Student Ambassadors for the 2021-2022 academic year.<\/p>\n

Students are selected for the program based on application, letters of recommendation and an interview. They must be enrolled at NCC as a full-time student, maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and demonstrate a commitment to academic and career success.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors will complete service hours representing NCC on and off-campus. They assist with campus events, campus tours and promote the college.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to welcome this group of ambassadors to represent NCC on campus and in the community,\u201d Denise Beamer, Coordinator of Donor and Alumni Relations said. \u201cThese ambassadors bring a variety of experiences, great energy and impressive accomplishments to support NCC initiatives.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Aaron Dornseif<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Aaron Dornseif is a super senior in the NCC Career and College Promise program, earning college degree credits while completing high school graduation requirements. After graduation, he plans to transfer to a four-year university to study Chemical Engineering. Dornseif wanted to become a Student Ambassador to enhance his leadership skills and meet new people on campus and in the community. He is proud that his hard work and dedication to his studies have paid off with his excellent grades. When not studying chemistry or biology, he enjoys running and hanging out with friends and family.<\/div>\n

Scott Brueshaber<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Scott Brueshaber is also a super senior in the Nash Community College\u2019s Career and College Promise program. After graduation, Brueshaber plans to use his college credits to transfer to a four-year university to study Zoology. His dream job is to become Herpetology Curator and work with reptiles and amphibians. Brueshaber said his biggest achievement and proudest moment was earning his Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.<\/p>\n

Kody Wooten<\/p><\/div>\n

Kody Wooten is in the Associate Degree Nursing program and plans to become an Emergency Room or ICU Nurse. Wooten said he chose Nash Community College because the staff and faculty are committed to providing the utmost educational opportunities to students. “These good-willed and kind people led to my decision to get involved on-campus with the Student Ambassador program and Student Government Association,” he shared. One of his proudest accomplishments was graduating 68W as a Combat Medic Specialist for the Military. When Wooten is not studying or working, he enjoys being in nature and gardening.<\/p>\n

Dennis Moon<\/p><\/div>\n

Dennis Moon is working towards his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice Technology with a concentration in Forensic Evidence. Moon said he chose NCC because of the outstanding quality of the Criminal Justice program\u2019s instructors and coursework. His proudest moments were earning his GED at NCC at the age of 39 and becoming a Student Ambassador.
