Course work includes instruction in scheduling appointments, coding, and processing insurance accounts, billing, collections and computer operations. Graduates are prepared to\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">assist<\/span>\u00a0with examinations\u00a0and treatments, and perform routine laboratory procedures, electrocardiography, and supervised medication administration. A\u00a0three-semester program of study, Practical Nursing leads to a one-year diploma. Courses include content related to the p<span class=\"highlight\">ractical<\/span>\u00a0nurse\u2019s role in participating in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">nursing\u00a0<\/span>care. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) which is required for practice as a Licensed\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">Practical<\/span>\u00a0Nurse.
