Each student selected for the award receives a plaque and medallion in honor of their academic accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What impresses me most about NCC is the culture of warmth and kindness,&#8221; Peters said. &#8220;I\u2019m a mature student today, but the socially awkward, skinny kid I was decades ago really could have benefited from the extra guidance Nash offers to all students and the resources they have to assist students both academically and personally.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lamont Peters of Tarboro has been selected as Nash Community College\u2019s 2022 Academic Excellence Award recipient.
