The endowment\u00a0will\u00a0provide discretionary funds to support instructional and equipment needs at\u00a0the college.<\/p>\n<p>Tim\u00a0Oakley is the founding principal of Oakley Collier Architects.\u00a0He\u00a0graduated from Nash Technical Institute, now Nash Community College, in 1976 with an Associate in Applied Science degree in architectural technology.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last four decades in the field, he has developed expertise coordinating in-house staff, consultants, contractors, construction managers and regulatory agencies. He enjoys technical aspects of architecture including design, management, and construction techniques.\u00a0In 2000, he was named the Nash Community College Outstanding Alumnus. He joined the\u00a0college&#8217;s\u00a0Foundation Board of Directors in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Ann Collier is a partner and principal with Oakley Collier Architects responsible for daily operations within the firm. With more than 35 years of experience in the design profession, she provides specialized programming, planning, and design knowledge for many public projects. Her design experience encompasses a variety of project types including municipal, educational, institutional, and higher education facilities. She graduated from NC State University.<\/p>\n<p>Both Oakley and Collier have a strong history of bringing positive, measurable change to the local community\u00a0through their leadership with nonprofit, religious and educational\u00a0organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Oakley\u00a0was previously\u00a0chair of the Rocky Mount Inspections Advisory Board and Christian Fellowship Home and president of the American Cancer Society.\u00a0His\u00a0community involvement has included service with\u00a0the\u00a0Rocky Mount Historic Preservation Committee, Rocky Mount Rotary Club, Rocky Mount Jaycees and\u00a0Nash County\u00a0Habitat for Humanity.<\/p>\n<p>Anne Collier serves on the 2024 NC Building Code &amp; Fire Code Ad-HOC Committee, as Town of Nashville Planning Board chair, as a Director for the NC Eastern Section of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and on the NC Architecture for Learning Environments (A4LE) Board of Directors.
