The training\u00a0prepares students for commercial drone operation and is a Federal Aviation Commission-required certification for individuals to legally offer professional drone services.<\/div>\n<p><div>Participants were from\u00a0Rocky Mount\u00a0Fire Department, Nashville\u00a0Fire Department, Rocky Mount Police Department, Nashville Police Department, Nash County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, Nash County Emergency Services, Williamston Fire Department, NC Civil Air Patrol, NC Office of State Fire Marshal, and NC Emergency Management.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><div>These agencies may utilize drone technology for reconnaissance, search and rescue, monitoring, investigation and damage and situational assessment.
