High school and college students enrolled in Nash Community College’s Computer-Integrated Machining program are benefiting from a $40,000 grant awarded in 2021 by the Gene Haas Foundation.<\/p>\n

The grant is supporting these college students with scholarships in machining-based engineering programs, and the high school students in obtaining certification as computer numerical control technologists.<\/p>\n

In 2021, the college named its advanced manufacturing training facility on the south end of campus for the Foundation’s long term support. The Gene Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing at NCC\u00a0is home to Electrical Systems Technology, Computer-Integrated Machining, Electronics Engineering Technology, and Robotics training.<\/p>\n

The Gene Haas Foundation was founded in 1999 by Gene Haas, owner of Haas Automation, Inc., America\u2019s leading builder of CNC machine tools. Haas Automation, Inc. began in 1983 as a manufacturer of economical and reliable machine tools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
