The Nash Community College Engineering Department’s Data Communication Systems class recently toured the\u00a0American Computer Development, Inc (ACDi) plant in Nashville, NC. Plant Manager Kim Boykin provided the tour which explaining how ACDi provides electronics manufacturing services to a balanced mix of market sectors including government, commercial and medical industries. Participants toured the manufacturing floor including the surface mount and through-hole technologies printed circuit board assembly lines. The printed circuit boards are assembled, soldered, and tested through automated processes.
