The mascot, a NightHawk, was designed and named by students. The design was created by Advertising and Graphic Design student Judie Taylor. &#8220;Newton&#8221; was selected as the mascot&#8217;s name following a naming contest among students.<\/p>\n<div>\u200b\u200b<\/div>\n<p>Associate in Arts student, Michael Stallings, submitted the winning name.
