English Instructors Kristin Hark\u200bins and Erika J. Galluppi presented \u201cYours + Mine = Ours: Addressing Gaps in Transferability via Team-Teaching\u201d on Saturday, February 28 at the North Carolina Symposium on Teaching Writing at North Carolina State University. The two are scheduled to present \u201c2 Instructors, 1 Classroom: Addressing Gaps in Tech-Knowledge via Team Teaching&#8221; at the Student Success in Writing Conference in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday, April 18. Harkins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Peace College and a Master of Arts Degree in English at North Carolina State University. In her writing, she explained her application of the S.W.E.T. method, which stands for speaking, writing, encouragement, and technology as a way to engage students in the classroom. Berry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from North Carolina State University and a Master of Arts degree in Health Education from East Carolina University. She was the 2013 recipient of the College\u2019s J. Edgar and Peggie T. During a panel discussion at the same conference, she will present \u201cIntercultural Communication Competence and Leadership for Education and Scholarship\u201d with East Carolina University Professors of Communication, Dr. Rebecca Dumlao and Dr. John Howard, and Professor of English, Dr. Kirk St. Amant. Deal graduated from East Carolina University with Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Communication.
