Lewis, Welding students at Nash Community College, competed\u00a0in the\u00a0American Welding Society Tri-State Welding and Fabrication Competition in Salisbury, NC at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.<\/p>\n<p>Students from 10 neighboring community colleges competed. Hill placed first in the competition and was awarded with welding machinery valued at over $1,500. Lewis placed 7th and was awarded with welding accessories, including a jacket, glasses and gloves.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am very proud of both of my students,&#8221; states Jay Manning, NCC Welding Instructor.
