Campus Technology 2015 gives\u00a0higher education technology professionals the opportunity to receive intensive training through technology-focused workshops, keynote speakers and breakout sessions. &#8220;I&#8217;m very excited about this opportunity to present at a national level. Out of thousands of proposals, mine was one of about one\u00a0hundred chosen. I&#8217;m looking forward to sharing my Blue Love and passion for teaching and incorporating technology in the classroom,&#8221; Cobb shared.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Engaging in Online Learning: Where Did My Instructor and Classmates Go?&#8217; is the title and topic of Cobb&#8217;s presentation, of which he is scheduled to present during one of the Convention&#8217;s breakout sessions. The presentation will inform attendees\u00a0how to easily design and facilitate an online group project using Google Docs, use collaborative means for organizing online work groups, \u00a0how to prepare an online Google Slide presentation with\u00a0assigned online partners and provide an activity using an\u00a0online Cengage Learning Resource called MindTap, developed to\u00a0help students stay focused on learning. Cobb hopes his presentation will convey to instructors the uncomplicated nature of coordinating online group activities and that the instructors attending will implement what he demonstrates\u00a0in their classrooms in order to improve student learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Cobb has been employed at Nash Community\u00a0College since 2000 teaching on campus, online and virtual classes for non-majors and majors in biology, environmental biology and other freshman and sophomore elective biology courses. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Master of Arts in education degree, both from East Carolina University. Cobb was selected as the 2015 recipient of the J. Edgar and Peggie T.
