Nash Community College student Ronald Hill is in the spotlight as the Spring 2016\u00a0NCC Marketing intern. As a\u00a0member of\u00a0the College marketing team, Ronald\u00a0is gaining real-world graphic design experience\u00a0and is enjoying seeing his work\u00a0on billboards, brochures and other marketing media throughout the community. One of his most memorable experiences during\u00a0his internship thus far was getting a behind-the-scenes look at a recent faculty and staff meeting.<\/div>\n

Why did you choose Nash? <\/strong><\/div>\n
“I chose Nash because of the great things I heard about the college from my\u00a0peers. Nash was always presented to me\u00a0as a school that could better my education and provide an excellent experience for someone interested in\u00a0Advertising & Graphic Design.”<\/div>\n
Why Graphic Design?
\n<\/strong>“Graphic design incorporates two things I love: art & technology. It allows me to express myself in various ways rather than using only paper and material. Many times graphic design heightens my ideas to places I couldn’t go\u00a0if I were only using pencil and paper. I believe anybody and everybody can enjoy graphic design. I have seen it bring people of all backgrounds together to\u00a0create a masterpiece for public enjoyment or inspiration.”

What does success mean to you?<\/strong><\/div>\n
“To me success means, being able to support yourself and the ones around from your hard work, while still living comfortably and enjoying life while doing it. Also, living a life worthy of\u00a0admiration from others, and changing the world or inspiring someone for better things ahead, would make for a successful life.”<\/div>\n
Describe the “Blue Love” everyone is talking about.<\/strong><\/div>\n
“Blue Love is expressed when Nash faculty help students and show their love\u00a0for one another. Whether it’s helping, enjoying, supporting or even providing for someone that’s apart of NCC\u00a0in any sort of way, that is Blue Love.”<\/div>\n

Tell us about one of your current design projects.<\/strong>
\n“This piece I was working on in the photo is one of\u00a0my favorite projects\u00a0to date, although it is not finished. Working with vector images is one of my favorite types of design work. With this one, I chose to create the\u00a0beautiful icon, the great soulful Erykah Badu. It was\u00a0my first time making a vector with gradients and blurs giving it a very\u00a0realistic look. The figure looks human and is extremely detailed – more realistic than any other art I have\u00a0created. And that’s the thought I want to leave on viewers mind, how incredibly realistic this looks. This project will be on display the graphic design art show later this semester.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
