Guest speaker, Nashville Police Department Chief Thomas A. Bashore told the graduates, “Helping those we know is easy, helping those we have never met before is also easy if we have passion for our work.” He shared an\u00a0email he received from a grateful traveler who experienced car problems while passing through the area. He detailed\u00a0how\u00a0two Nashville Police Officers went above and beyond the call of duty by assisting the traveler, ensuring she\u00a0could continue on her\u00a0way.<\/p>\n

Cadets in NCC\u2019s BLET program participate in rigorous physical and classroom state commission mandated topics and methods of instruction covering topics related to legal, criminal, juvenile, civil, traffic, investigative, patrol, custody, court procedures, emergency responses, ethics, and community relations.<\/p>\n
