The <span class=\"highlight\">Practical<\/span> <span class=\"highlight\">Nursing<\/span>\u00a0program is a three-semester program of study which leads to a one-year Diploma. Courses include content related to the p<span class=\"highlight\">ractical<\/span>\u00a0nurse&#8217;s role in participating in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating <span class=\"highlight\">nursing\u00a0<\/span>care. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) which is required for practice as a Licensed <span class=\"highlight\">Practical<\/span> Nurse. Course work includes instruction in scheduling appointments, coding, and processing insurance accounts, billing, collections, computer operations;\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">assisting<\/span> with examinations\/treatments, performing routine laboratory procedures, electrocardiography, supervised medication administration; and ethical\/legal issues associated with patient care.
