Nash Community College recognized seven new Emergency\u00a0Dispatch Academy graduates in\u00a0a recent ceremony held at the Continuing Education and Public Services Building.<\/p>\n

The Emergency Dispatch Academy features instructor led lectures, hands-on learning with a dispatch console, opportunities to participate in real life scenarios while learning essential techniques in multi-tasking, and written assessments such as quizzes, module exams and a final exam. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to effectively operate in a\u00a0critical\u00a0role within an Emergency 911 Center and able to function as vital link in the Emergency Response field.\u00a0Students must have earned\u00a0a High School Diploma or equivalency\u00a0and successfully complete a reading comprehension placement test prior to taking the class.<\/p>\n
