Representatives from the East Carolina University and North Carolina State University&#8217;s <span class=\"il\">Engineering<\/span> Departments shared information about admission requirements, academic expectations, internship and co-op opportunities, and campus life with about a dozen potential Nash Community College Associate in <span class=\"il\">Engineering<\/span> students. The Mathematics Department also invited professional <span class=\"il\">engineers<\/span> and alumni to come and speak about their experience working in the <span class=\"il\">Engineering<\/span> field and transitioning to a four-year school. These special guests included: Donald Perry, NCC Alumnus &amp; Stormwater <span class=\"il\">Engineer<\/span> for the City of Rocky Mount; Daniel Long, NCC Alumnus &amp; Design <span class=\"il\">Engineer<\/span> 1 for OPW Retail Fueling; Omar Allan, NCC Alumnus &amp; current <span class=\"il\">Engineering<\/span> student at NCSU.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, September 23, 2016 the Mathematics Department hosted an Engineering Roundup in preparation for the launch of the new Associate in Engineering Degree.
