Nash Community College is pleased to announce the launch of its new Broadcasting Production Technology program this fall.<\/p>\n
The program focuses on audio and video editing, broadcast writing, radio production and performance, video production and performance, live broadcast production, post-production, and modern media delivery methods.<\/p>\n
Students learn broadcasting fundamentals through hands-on learning, gaining experience in contemporary studio operations, script and broadcast writing, performance in media, broadcast\/media history, methodology, sales, and ethics. Individuals studying Broadcast Production Technology will create and edit audio and video productions using the latest software with modern studio audio\/video equipment.\u200b<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe NCC\u2019s new program will provide the type of real-world educational experience that bridges the gap between the classroom and the broadcast industry,\u201d Jim Goodmon, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Capitol Broadcasting Company said. \u201cWe fully support NCC and urged the college to create a new degree program that will develop the broadcast production workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Nash Community College Broadcasting Production Technology program prepares students for employment as announcers, music directors, news staff, promotions and sales representatives, station managers, broadcast editors, camera operators, field audio engineers, associate producers, control engineers, production managers, floor directors, multimedia producers, effects operations and other broadcast technician duties.<\/p>\n
\u201cLocal and regional media partners submitted letters of support during our application for this new program. They expressed the need for career-minded individuals to prepare now to join their organizations in the future,\u201d NCC Director of Instructional Media Andrew Small said. \u201cWe are excited to put this program into action and welcome more students into Studio 67 \u2013 NCC\u2019s full-service, on-campus multimedia production facility.\u201d<\/p>\n
