The event will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Keihin Auditorium on the campus of Edgecombe Community College in Tarboro.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The summit brings together area public school systems, community colleges, community-based organizations, and employers to build the local talent pipeline by growing workforce awareness, ensuring relevant workforce skills and strengthening relationships with business and industry.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">John Chaffee, President\/CEO of NC East Alliance, and Jim Goodmon, Chairman\/CEO of Capital Broadcasting Company will be the guest speakers. Additionally, guests will hear from and exchange dialogue with local business, industry and education panelists.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u201cThere is no more pressing need of the businesses in the Twin Counties than the availability of qualified\u00a0employees to fill the vacancies we have now and will have for the foreseeable future.
