The\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">Medical<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">Assisting<\/span>\u00a0curriculum prepares multi-skilled health care professionals to perform administrative, clinical, and laboratory procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Course work includes instruction in scheduling appointments, coding, and processing insurance accounts, billing, collections and computer operations. Graduates are prepared to\u00a0<span class=\"highlight\">assist<\/span>\u00a0with examinations\u00a0and treatments, and perform routine laboratory procedures, electrocardiography, and supervised medication administration. Course work includes proper specimen collection and handling, communication skills, and maintaining patient data.
