He has established a reputation for positioning and advancing the College through innovative thinking and out-of-the-box vision.<\/p>\n<p>NCC has expanded its campus, modernizing instructional spaces and delivery methods, growing from a Level I to Level II institution, and resisting the termination of programs<span class=\"gmail_default\">\u200b \u200b<\/span>during tight budgets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNash Community College is a leader in addressing unique regional workforce training needs,\u201d Carver said. \u201cThe Electric Line Construction training offers a 1<span class=\"gmail_default\">\u200b6\u200b<\/span>-week academy and provides the only two-year Electric Line Construction degree program in North Carolina.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other programs and facilities unique to NCC include Veterinary Medical Technology, Brewing, Distillation and Fermentation, an aseptic clean room, Associate in Engineering degree, indoor firing range and Nash Online\u2019s\u00a0<span class=\"gmail_default\">\u200bprogram and \u200b<\/span>two-year degree offerings for the remote learner.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2015 NCC\u2019s campus footprint has grown to include three new buildings for advanced manufacturing, cosmetology and continuing education and public services.<\/p>\n<p>A recent North Carolina Community College System Office report ranks Nash Community College number eight among only 16 schools in the 58-college system to experience growth in full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment from fall 2017 to fall 2018. Full-time equivalent enrollment\u00a0<span class=\"gmail_default\">\u200bs<\/span>tatistics are used to determine a college&#8217;s operating budget.<\/p>\n<p>Nash Community College celebrated the expansion of the Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School located<span class=\"gmail_default\">\u200b on<\/span>\u00a0its campus in February. President Carver recalls the Early College\u2019s humble beginnings on NCC\u2019s campus as an early adopter of the proven methodology for North Carolina. \u201cNCC took a chance \u2013 not a leap \u2013 because Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools, our longtime partner, was the tip of the spear identifying students for a new way to attend high school \u2013 earning a high school and college credential together. There was no manual; we just did what was good for students.\u201d For many years, the Nash-Rocky Mount Early College was the largest in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNash Community College is a recognizable brand throughout North Carolina, and especially as the largest community college in the immediate three-county region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany dedicated people have played a part in the campus we have today. Since 1967, NCC leaders have advocated tirelessly for local training needs, and the critical contributions technical programs make in our state\u2019s economy, many times meeting resistance, but never giving up.
