During their presentations, students highlighted their understanding of diverse perspectives and their role as global citizens. They discussed key takeaways from their globally-intense courses, global activities, and global immersion. Their final goal was to detail their experiences and discuss how this knowledge can be transferred to their career and\/or experience at a four-year college or university.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span id=\"gmail-m_-197209675777825938gmail-m_-4033968910438335198m_9039374750125214406m_5918323777731866930gmail-m_-5530248808012192678m_7700430741414102837gmail-docs-internal-guid-6ecd65e7-7fff-928f-d066-01abedd45b56\"><span id=\"gmail-m_-197209675777825938gmail-m_-4033968910438335198m_9039374750125214406m_5918323777731866930gmail-m_2345679661496970366m_6333874775021227760gmail-docs-internal-guid-0272a82b-7fff-24a9-787b-73523688d385\">In addition to being graduates of the Global Scholars program<\/span><\/span>, Lorie Futrell and Hannah Haynes are<span id=\"gmail-m_-197209675777825938gmail-m_-4033968910438335198m_9039374750125214406m_5918323777731866930gmail-m_-5530248808012192678m_7700430741414102837gmail-docs-internal-guid-6ecd65e7-7fff-928f-d066-01abedd45b56\"><span id=\"gmail-m_-197209675777825938gmail-m_-4033968910438335198m_9039374750125214406m_5918323777731866930gmail-m_2345679661496970366m_6333874775021227760gmail-docs-internal-guid-0272a82b-7fff-24a9-787b-73523688d385\">\u00a0upcoming Spring 2019 graduates of Nash Community College. They\u00a0<\/span><\/span>were honored with their Worldview certificates and graduation cords at the NCC 2018-2019 Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, April 17.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Global Perspectives Scholars (GPS) program is a collaboration between NCC and UNC World View designed to help students discover, connect and engage in the world around them. Through the GPS program, students develop global competencies and skills needed to be successful in today\u2019s global economy.
