Nash Community College Bookstore Donates Backpacks

Nash Community College is helping improve the quality of life in the Nash-Rocky Mount area by donating one backpack to Communities in Schools for every two backpacks sold in the College Bookstore. In the photo, Nash Community College Bookstore Manager Jay Quigley (left) and Bookstore Associate Joseph Davis (right) give Communities in Schools Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator Venessa Jenkins (center) a backpack donation. The College donated a total of 320 backpacks to assist local elementary and middle school children in need.
