NCC Students Assist with Financial Literacy Event
Communities in Schools held their annual 7th Grade Financial Literacy Retreat in the Nash Community College (NCC) Brown Auditorium on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Area students learned about personal finance and gained skills in basic financial decision making. Nash Community College students and community volunteers assisted the seventh graders with their “checking accounts” and real life scenarios. Students also heard from experts in the areas of personal finance and entrepreneurship. In the photo, NCC Student Nursing Association members and Phi Beta Lambda business organization student members assist middle school students with a practice scenario of balancing their check registries and paying bills.
