Small Receives NCC Staff Award
Andrew Small, Nash Community College’s Director of Electronic Media, was the 2013 J. Edgar and Peggie T. Moore Staff Award recipient. Small has been employed with Nash Community College since 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Auburn University.
The Staff Award is an annual award recognizing the outstanding work ethic of a non-instructional employee at the College. In 2004, J. Edgar and Peggie T. Moore of Rocky Mount established a stipend for the NCC Staff Award acknowledging the achievement of the recipient.In his role, Small uses technology to enhance the College’s graphic design, website development, photography, video productions and more. He serves as adviser for WNIA Big Bang Radio 89.1 FM and Nash in Action. His efficient and effective use of College resources has resulted in many innovative marketing tools used on campus and in the community. In 2012, he was recognized for his video production by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations at the fall district two conference in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Small and his wife, Angela, live in Wilson and have two sons.
