Craft Beer Brewing students test first brews

The first four beers developed by Nash Community College’s BDF 114 Craft Beer Brewing students were examined this week including a Dark Gose, European Stout, Belgian Saison and Nash Pale Ale. In the Brewing, Distillation and Fermentation Craft Beer Brewing class, students are learning entry-level skills including recipe development, sanitation and craft beer brewing techniques while utilizing equipment to produce small batches of craft beer. Nash Community College is among four community colleges in North Carolina to offer the Brewing, Distillation and Fermentation degree.
