NCC Foundation Begins Annual Campaign

Over 11,000  Nash Community College students each year help promote economic development vitality of the Nash/Rocky Mount region.  Many members of the community choose to support the mission of Nash Community College by contributing to the Nash Community College Foundation Annual Campaign. This year’s campaign kicks off March 9th to raise funds for student scholarships and support instructional needs of the campus. Nash Community College is fortunate to have Southern Bank Vice President Kim Sutton, community advocate and friend of Nash Community College, to lead the 2016 NCC Foundation Campaign.

The College is grateful to have the friendship of many generous donors who value its programs and services. As a result, the NCC Foundation awards nearly $200,000 annually in student scholarships. Additionally, the Continuing Education and Public Services Building and the newly renovated student spaces are providing additional areas for teaching and learning thanks to important friends who believe in the high quality programs the College offers.

Many deserving students seek help with their educational expenses through the NCC Foundation. Though the cost of attending a community college is considered to be reasonable, tuition, fees and books for a full-time student to attend NCC for two semesters now easily exceeds $3,000. This is an obstacle to many students, with limited resources, pursuing their educational goals. Please consider supporting the NCC Foundation during the 2015-2016 academic year. Donors will have the satisfaction of knowing they are making a difference and that a college education has become affordable for another area student. On behalf of the students whose lives are enhanced through the NCC Foundation Scholarship Program, we extend our deepest gratitude for your friendship and support of our mission to provide educational opportunities.
