NCC Foundation Awards 2016-2017 Scholarships

The NCC Foundation awarded $183,000 in scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year. Approximately 175 students received scholarships at the Forty-First Annual Scholarship Awards Program held Wednesday, November 2. Since its beginning in 1983, the NCC Foundation has made its mark on the community sending forth skilled employees because of the investment of local donors. More than a couple million dollars have been awarded to thousands of deserving Nash Community College students for scholarships over the years. Volunteers from the community serve on the NCC Foundation Board of Directors and raise the funds necessary to assist the increasing financial needs of students. 

“It is so awesome to see the scholarship recipients so appreciative of our donors believing enough in NCC to fund scholarships and help change lives. These gifts allow students to see that they can achieve and make dreams a reality so they can come back into our community and contribute to its growth,” NCC alumnus, Foundation Board Member and 16-17 Campaign Co-chair Steve Felton said.
