NCC Commemorates World Bee Day

In celebration of World Bee Day May 20, 2018, the Nash Community College Bee Campus Committee placed a pollinator box in the Pollinator Garden outside of Building D.  The pollinator box will provide shelter for the native bee population. Unlike honeybees, native bees do not produce honey but are crucial pollinators in our ecosystem.  Female pollinators will fill the pollinator box cavities with food bundles and eggs.  New bees will emerge in the spring and thrive during the warmer months.
