Middle School Students Visit NCC for College Prep Tour

NCC President Dr. Bill Carver welcomed approximately 70 eighth-grade Communities in Schools students to NCC on Wednesday, September 25.  After an opening session, students from Parker, Edwards, Southern Nash, Rocky Mount, and Tar River Academy middle schools toured several different areas of the college including nursing, early childhood education, culinary, emergency medical services, math and science, cosmetology and advanced manufacturing.

Established in 1989, Communities In Schools of North Carolina is part of the national Communities In Schools network. Their mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
