NCC Foundation Student Scholarship Golf Classic Set for October

The Nash Community College Foundation is planning its 31st Annual Student Scholarship Golf Classic. Players will have a choice of a morning or afternoon tee time on Thursday, October 1 or Friday, October 2, 2020. The tournament will be held at Benvenue Country Club in Rocky Mount. Proceeds from the tournament support scholarships for students attending Nash Community College.

Pam Gould, Executive Director of Strategic Twin-Counties Education Partnership, is this year’s tournament chair. Our local area is growing and I am excited about the positive things that are happening with new industry, activities, and social events,” Gould said. Both new and existing industry partners require skilled workers to meet employment demands in our communities. This event allows NCC to offer improved educational support and grow our workforce pipeline.

Various sponsorship packages are available through September 25. Grand Tournament Sponsors will receive the first choice of tee times.”We are pleased to offer the tournament across two full days this year, as our response to Covid-19 mitigation efforts. The tournament is a wonderful way to enjoy a beautiful day and help students achieve career and educational goals, said Pam Ballew, Vice President of Advancement and NCC Foundation Executive Director.

2020 Golf Committee Members are: Pam Gould, Chair; Pam Ballew, Denise Beamer, Ashley Berry, Margaret Claytor, Adrienne Covington, Kelley Deal, Anne Parker Hayworth, Dr. Lew Hunnicutt, Wendy Marlowe and Frank Maynard.
