New Members Join NCC Foundation Board of Directors

The Nash Community College Foundation recently announced Desiree Dolberry, Steve Felton and C.E. (Sonny) Foster have joined its Board for the 2020-2021 academic year. The directors attended an orientation session held on campus on Wednesday, July 29.

Desiree Dolberry graduated from NCC in 2015 with an Associate in Applied Science in Advertising and Graphic Design, with honors. As a student, she completed an internship in the college’s marketing department. Dolberry is employed as Vice President of Marketing and Events Coordinator at the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce. She was recently selected as NCC’s 2020 Outstanding Alumni Award recipient.

Steve Felton studied Business Administration at Nash Technical College from 1981 until 1983. As a student, he was a leader in the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Business Organization and was named Who’s Who in American Community and Junior Colleges. He continued his education at North Carolina Wesleyan College earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Felton was the recipient of the 2013 NCC Outstanding Alumnus Award. He has been employed at Ameriprise Financial since August 1985.

Sonny Foster joined the Nash Community College Board of Trustees in 2013. As the 2020-2021 Board Chair, Foster also joins the NCC Foundation Board of Directors. Foster is the Vice President of Smithson, Inc. He is a Mason, a member of the National Eagle Scout Association and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount.

The Nash Community College Foundation, Inc. was established in 1983 to increase community awareness, raise funds for the student scholarship program, and to help meet the needs of Nash Community College.
