Recruit Firefighters Graduate from NCC

Ten students graduated from Nash Community College’s Recruit Firefighter Training Academy during a ceremony held in the College’s Brown Auditorium on July 29, 2021.

Congratulations to the following graduates: Brianna Renee Carter, Matthew T. Daniels, Kendrick D. Dawes, Jacob T. Jones, Brandon S. Lewis, Dyquan Areé Lynch, Thomas R. Moseley, William L. Neville, Tristan L. West and Benjamin M. Woodlief.

The program is designed to provide the information and skills needed for modern firefighting and rescue through a variety of learning experiences and training scenarios.

The Recruit Firefighter Academy is a para-military program that is delivered over 18 weeks. Although all students interested in firefighting, volunteer or career are welcome, the Recruit Firefighter Training Academy is specifically designed to train recruit firefighters currently employed by departments and students who wish to pursue a career as a professional firefighter.

The next academy begins in August. For more information, visit www.nashcc.edu/fire or contact Nash Community College Director of Fire Services Joey Parks at 252-451-8480.
