COVID-19 Updates

Updated NCC COVID-19 Mask Protocol: February 28, 2022

As North Carolina’s COVID-19 metrics continue to improve and with vaccines widely available, Governor Cooper has encouraged schools and local governments to end mask mandates.

Effective Monday, February 28, 2022, face coverings, while still encouraged for unvaccinated people, will no longer be required on Nash Community College’s campus, unless required due to exposure per the campus exposure procedure. Additionally, there are no mass gathering limits, capacity limits or social distancing requirements on campus. This will apply to all NCC indoor spaces with no variance in mask requirement per area including but not limited to instructional (classrooms and labs) and support/administrative areas.

Employees and students are welcome to continue to wear face coverings. Please keep in mind that individuals should not be asked to disclose their vaccination status or why they are wearing a face covering. This is private information and should be respected at all times.

If you are feeling sick for any reason, please do not come to campus. Students should inform their instructors, and employees their supervisors, of the illness.

If you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, or you have been tested or diagnosed, please follow the COVID-19 Campus Exposure Procedure.
