New Class Certified as Telecommunicators

Personnel from local law enforcement agencies completed the Telecommunicator Certification Course at Nash Community College on Monday, June 27, 2022. The 50-hour course, governed by the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission, is designed to provide students the knowledge, skills, and materials necessary for obtaining North Carolina State Certification to work as a professional telecommunicator.

Each of these students successfully completed nine blocks of instruction and all practical skills evaluations, and passed the exam administered by North Carolina Sheriffs’ Training and Standards. They are now eligible to obtain state certification as telecommunicators.
