The Nash Community College Foundation has announced the recent establishment of the Benjamin Michael Langley Memorial Nursing Scholarship by the Langley Family and friends.
The scholarship was created to assist students in the Practical Nursing Program and PN students transitioning into the Associate Degree – Nursing Program.
“Ben was much beloved as he had a servant’s heart,” said Jamie Langley, mother. “His legacy of service to others lives on due to his commitment as an organ donor.”
Two annual scholarships will be presented to students enrolled in the Practical Nursing program or those transitioning from the PN to Associate Degree – Nursing program.
“Students that are eligible for this scholarship have to fall into the defined criteria, but deeper than that, these students must have a servant’s heart and mirror the commitment that Benjamin made himself,” said Pam Ballew, vice president of advancement at NCC.
