Criminal Justice Professionals Complete Instructor Certification Class

20151012_171629Nash Community College recently offered its first North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission Approved General Instructor class. Taught in the Continuing Education and Public Services Building, the training was provided for professionals with experience as a criminal justice officer or as an administrator or specialist in a field directly related to the criminal justice system desiring to teach or make presentations in Commission-certified criminal justice training courses or programs. The students completed an 80-hour program designing and executing lesson plans. They were also required to successfully pass the comprehensive state examination. Upon completion of these criteria, they are eligible to be credentialed as a North Carolina Commission approved General Instructors.
