Dr. Jonathan Vester, Vice President of Technology and Chief Information Officer, presents keynote address at Technology Symposium

Nash Community College hosted the Duncan-Parnell 2017 Technology Symposium Leadership and Performance Series Thursday, September 28 in the NCC Continuing Education and Public Services Building.

Design-build industry representatives learned concepts in leadership, management and training on the latest in business technology in the free, day-long symposium. “Our role as a community college is to connect individuals and organizations with relevant educational opportunities,” Dr. Jonathan Vester, NCC Vice President of Technology and Chief Information Officer said. Vester presented an opening keynote address titled “Creating a Culture of Accountability and Continuous Improvement in Today’s Work Environment.”

For more than 70 years, Duncan-Parnell has been a supplier to architects, engineers, construction contractors, surveyors and designers carrying widely-used technology and equipment for surveying and mapping. The company provides solutions to respond to growing industry needs.

Allison Sykes, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Mount-based Strategy Performance Business Solutions, also presented at the Symposium. Sykes is known for partnering with organizations, corporate leaders, and business owners to provide customized solutions, strategies and accountability.
“Nash Community College worked with Duncan-Parnell to create a venue where industry experts provided solutions for real-world applications,” Vester said. “This is just one example of the strategic partnerships Nash Community College facilitates in order to provide customized training and respond to local and regional needs.”
