NCC Students Honored at Health Sciences Recognition Ceremony

On August 4, NCC held a Summer Health Sciences Recognition Ceremony to recognize students for completing the Medical Assisting and Practical Nursing diplomas.

The Medical Assisting curriculum prepares graduates to perform administrative, clinical and laboratory procedures. Course work includes instruction in scheduling appointments, coding and processing insurance accounts, billing, collections, computer operations, assisting with patient care and more.

The Practical Nursing curriculum provides knowledge and skills to integrate safety and quality into nursing care to meet the needs of the holistic individual which impact health and quality of life. Course work includes healthcare, nursing practice and the holistic individual. Content emphasizes safe, individualized nursing care and participation in the interdisciplinary team while employing evidence-based practice, quality improvement and informatics.
