NCC Awards Employee Ambassador

Nash Community College is pleased to announce the 2015 Ambassador Award recipient is Andrew Small, NCC Director of Instructional Media. Each year, the award is given to a full-time employee or group of employees who provide outstanding representation of the College in the community. Andrew Small serves as Executive Producer of Studio 67 and Chief Operator of the College’s student run radio station, Big Bang Radio – WNIA 89.1 FM.

Since joining the College in 2010, Andrew Small has been an integral member of the marketing team, participating in numerous award-winning projects. His leadership and tireless efforts in superior video production and providing excellent visual media are second to none. Small’s work with students and dedication to their learning media technology including radio and video production, have led to an increase in quality, scope and student interest.

Small’s vision for the College’s media services led the campus to a new partnership this year to begin airing television programming in the Town of Nashville via Suddenlink Channel 19. Additionally, his expertise and passion have resulted in the expansion of media services and development of the College’s first ever full media studio, Studio 67, set to be fully operational in early 2016.

Small also was selected by his Nash Community College peers as the 2013 J. Edgar and Peggie T. Moore Staff Award recipient. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Auburn University. A resident of Wilson, he and his wife, Angela, have two sons.
