NCC Cosmetology Market Day November 18th
The Nash Community College Cosmetology Program invites the community to Cosmetology Market Day on Saturday, November 18 in the College’s Science & Technology Building parking lot.
NCC Director of Cosmetology Ernestine Stephenson said, “This is an opportunity for our community to come see all that our department has to offer. The Market Day will be a community festival, celebrating the season, and showcasing our talented Cosmetology students.”
All event proceeds will support the NCC Artistic Designers Club, an organization for students enrolled in cosmetology courses at Nash Community College. The club encourages opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills and helps provide accountability in the cosmetology field.
“Our program is growing as we prepare to expand when we move into the new building, and this Market Day is just a sample of more community outreach events that are to come,” Stephenson said. The new 10,000 square foot Cosmetology Building, scheduled to open next summer, will include instructional salon lab areas, academic classrooms, lab instructional areas for manicure and pedicure and general program support spaces.
On weekdays the NCC salon is open to the public and provides a variety of services including cuts, color, hair treatments, nail services and skincare.
